27日（月）に、シンガポールからお越しの3名のお客様をご案内しました。
On October 27, I had the pleasure of guiding three guests from Singapore to Mt. Mihara.
熱海からの日帰りでお越しだったため、まずは伊豆半島を一望。
Since they were visiting as a day trip from Atami, we first enjoyed a view of the Izu Peninsula.
前日は城ヶ崎をガイド付きで歩かれたそうで、
その日は雨で大島が見えなかったとのこと。
今回は反対側からご覧いただけてよかったです！
They told me they had walked along the Jogasaki Coast with a guide on the previous Saturday,
but it had been rainy that day and they couldn’t see Oshima.
This time, they were happy to see it from the opposite side!
日本ご到着以来、初めての青空☀️
It was their first clear blue sky since arriving in Japan,
そして初の火山島上陸を記念して、にっこりマーク😊
and their first visit to a volcanic island—a perfect picture with a smiley face 😊
溶岩に触れられることに感動し、思わずポーズ✨
She was so excited to touch the lava that she struck a joyful pose ✨
喜んでいただけたことが、私たちも何より嬉しかったです。
I was truly happy to see how much they enjoyed the experience.
お客様の中には、高校で地理を教えていらっしゃる先生もいて
One of the guests teaches geography at a high school and said,
「この経験を授業に活かしたい」とのお言葉に、心が温まりました。
“I’d like to share this experience with my students.”
That made me so glad.

広大な溶岩原とススキが広がる大地、
The vast lava fields covered with silver grass
そしてダイナミックな火口を間近に見られたことが印象的でした。
and the dynamic crater view were truly breathtaking.
帰りの船の前には、ぜひ見ていただきたい「地層大切断面」へ。
Before catching the return ferry, we stopped by the Great Road Cut,
a must-see spot that beautifully reveals Oshima’s geological layers.
火山のない国からお越しのお客様に、
この貴重な体験を授業でシェアしていただけたら嬉しいです。
I hope this firsthand experience will inspire the students in their geography classes back home, especially in a country without volcanoes.
「ただ歩くだけでは見えない景色が、ガイドと一緒だと見えてくる」
